Hearthside Medicine Family Care Patient Insurance Information

If you have health insurance and we are in network, we bill your insurance just like any other medical office. However, due to the nature of personalized medicine, our providers typically spend 2-3 times longer with our patients than in traditional, conventional "big box" medicine settings, including spending extensive time behind the scenes ordering personalized functional medicine labs and developing personal treatment plans.  At conventional "big box" medicine practice averages about 15-20 mi patient visit slots, seeing around 18-30 patients a day. At Hearthside, we cap our patient visits around 14 patients a day so we can spend more time with our patients.

Thus, we bill according to time spent during the patient visit and in coordination of care. Our rates our comparable to those of local conventional medicine rates.

  • As with any clinic, the patient is responsible to understand their co-pay/co-insurance/deductible. Whatever your insurance applies to your deductible, you are responsible for. If it is confusing (we know it can be!), we are happy to assist.

  • We are NOT considered a "medical home." Some plans stipulate you must be seen at a "medical home" for services to be covered. It is the patient responsibility to verify their type of plan.
